Exciting News! 🍷

I officially completed my WSET Level 1 course, and now I’m curating my study plan to prep for the exam. I’m super excited because this marks a big step toward some of my long-term goals—like becoming a sommelier, a winemaker, and an all-around notable wine enthusiast. This journey is just getting started, and I’m loving every minute of it!

Before we get into the juicy details, I’m currently sipping on a Riesling from A to Z Wineworks—bright, crisp, and full of personality, just how I like it.

Here are a few things I’ve learned so far from the course:

  • Where wines are grown and how geography plays a major role

  • How different climates affect the flavor, aroma, and style of wine

  • Proper wine pronunciation (I sound sooo professional now 😄)

  • How to pair wines with food—because y’all know I know food!

  • Proper wine storage

  • And of course, the winemaking process itself

One of the biggest takeaways? Wine is for everyone.

There’s no right or wrong way to enjoy it. Whether you’re a connoisseur or just curious, the best part about wine is how personal and expressive it can be. There are no rules—just pour, sip, and enjoy.

Up next on my journey: diving deeper into winemaking and gearing up to tackle WSET Level 2. Stay tuned—there’s so much more to uncork 🍇
