Exciting News! 🍷
I officially completed my WSET Level 1 course, and now I’m curating my study plan to prep for the exam. I’m super excited because this marks a big step toward some of my long-term goals—like becoming a sommelier, a winemaker, and an all-around notable wine enthusiast. This journey is just getting started, and I’m loving every minute of it!
Before we get into the juicy details, I’m currently sipping on a Riesling from A to Z Wineworks—bright, crisp, and full of personality, just how I like it.
Here are a few things I’ve learned so far from the course:
Where wines are grown and how geography plays a major role
How different climates affect the flavor, aroma, and style of wine
Proper wine pronunciation (I sound sooo professional now 😄)
How to pair wines with food—because y’all know I know food!
Proper wine storage
And of course, the winemaking process itself
One of the biggest takeaways? Wine is for everyone.
There’s no right or wrong way to enjoy it. Whether you’re a connoisseur or just curious, the best part about wine is how personal and expressive it can be. There are no rules—just pour, sip, and enjoy.
Up next on my journey: diving deeper into winemaking and gearing up to tackle WSET Level 2. Stay tuned—there’s so much more to uncork 🍇
